Get to know our awsome team captain, Cindy of Retro Chalet

I joined the Etsy Recyclers Guild Team a few months ago and have had a pleasant experience from day one. Cindy our team captain and team leader has several shops on Etsy. Her main shop is Retro Chalet and her second shop is Retro Chalet Studio. She sells really cool vintage stuff including vintage buttons, vintage Melmac, vintage block letters, vintage advertising and other vintage items at Retro Chalet.

Her Etsy bio says, "Dumpster Diving Diva, Recycler, Artist, Writer, and Greenie. Proud Team Leader of the Etsy Recyclers Guild. Member of the Vintage Etsy Society Street Team. Do-gooder".

In her Retro Chalet Studio shop, she sells a variety of cute recycled handmade art things such as poker chips with cute images taken from vintage books and other sources (these are made into pendants), mixed media collages and other jewelry pieces.

Cindy is the type of person who is willing to go above and beyond for anyone. She's always willing to promote other team members because that's just who she is. I've never met her in person, but we have exchanged quite a few messages and I feel as if I've gotten to know her. She's a genuine person who would give anyone the shirt off her back if it came down to it. She gives 110% and more in everything she does. I would like to thank Cindy from the bottom of my heart for everything she has done for our team and for me. You can get to know Cindy better by clicking the links below:

You gotta ♥ vintage decor!

You gotta ♥ vintage decor. I mean, what's not to love? The item has a past and you are doing the environment a HUGE favor! Most vintage decor items are better made than anything you can buy in today's market, that's for sure! You can mix and match vintage pieces with contemporary pieces to create a one-of-a-kind space. Nothing says perfection better than one-of-a-kind!

The Etsy Recyclers Guild Team is comprised of a few different types of sellers: vintage sellers & sellers who repurpose and/or recyle items made from vintage or recycled items. The team members who sell vintage items have some great items listed on Etsy right now!

Take for instance this set of vintage mid century modern nesting tables listed by Retro Chalet. They're only $68 & would make a great addition to any mid century modern decor!

I just adore this vintage Art Nouveau French Chandelier discovered at the Les Puces Saint-Ouen Flea Market outside Paris listed for $175 at Chase Vintage. I truly believe that light fixtures can make or break a room. Why not make a statement with this chandelier?

In addition to having great light fixtures, door knobs and handles also speak mystery to me. Who's touched that handle and gone in and out of the door it used to be attached to? So much history in these pieces. I love the intricate design on this vintage brass door knob. Only $15 at
Hey, I remember that.

You can check out all of these items by clicking any of the photo's above (you will be redirected to the item). If you want to check out more items from any of our team members, click here.

Thanks for your interest in the Etsy Recyclers Guild Team. We're keeping our environment and the world more safe and beautiful by recycling one item at a time!

Raphael Tuck Embossed Valentine Postcard Ephemera

Mary has been dealing in vintage for as long as she can remember, having been raised on a rual farm in Ontario, Canada. Her grandparents lived next door, but never had electricity, and Mary was in awe of the vintage goods that could be found in their home. Fast foward to 1979, where she began working in an auction house buying and selling antiques. Her love for all things old would soon expand to her own selling of handicrafts and vintage goods in her locality. She is now excited to be offering them on Etsy for everyone to access. Make sure to check out her repurposed dominoes, I love them! She is also a member of the Canadian team, and her shop is full of wonderful goodies. Be sure to check it out.
