Welcome Sweet Buddha - Journals, Supplies, and A Blog YOU Must Read

The Hand of Life Set of 5 Cards , $12

Welcome to Sweet Buddha's Etsy shop.  Diana is a mixed media artist who creates out of her studio in Brooklyn, New York. More often than not, she's referred to as, "The Craftaholic".

Summer Vacation Mini Scrapbook, $25

She admits her speciality is upcycled cardboard art journals but her love for art and inspiration to share with others (check out her post on Fantasy Fiber Journal Cover) expands beyond that.  She loves knitting and crocheting (a couture shop on Etsy for that too), making shrine boxes, designing, blogging, and teacher workshops in and around New York City.

Gorgeous tags she made with bottle caps appeared on her blog, "Confessions of a Craftaholic".
In her Etsy shop, you may find handmade Lino Blocks (stampers), thank you cards, gift tags, and some of her handmade art. These are under the category she calls  'stuff to make stuff.'  These items should be nabbed up immediately, as they are cute, chic, and priced right.  Probably why they don't stay around too long.

Paper Embellishments (Flowers) normally available in sets of three!
Custom Lino Blocks are available, if out of stock convo her and she'll set up a listing!

She told Art Glitter Blog , "I describe my style as 'Vintage City Grunge', and take my creative inspiration from the artist Jean Michel Basquiat, The Buddha, Nature, and from my collections of vintage paraphernalia including records, perfume bottles and vintage cookbooks."

Hand Carved Tibetan Buddha and Lotus Stamp Set $18

I'm very much in awe of Sweet Buddha's shop, and the fact she does great with social networking.   She has an awesome blog you should read, by clicking HERE, or on the butterfly below.  Make sure to check out all her great links in our member directory for more information and her photo galleries. Lastly, welcome her to our team!

Vintage Ephemera Galore at the Paper Picker

I have an extreme love for all things vintage, especially paper.  Today I spent some time getting lost in one of our member's shops, PaperPicker.

This shop is full of fantastic finds in paper. (One of three very cool shops from the lovely Nerrissa, straight out of Fort Worth Texas.)   In an effort to separate her handmade clay treasures, and growing vintage finds, this third store contains all things paper!

From vintage greeting cards to retro wrapping paper, this is a paper lover's dream come true.  Collage artists, scrapbooking lovers, artists, vintage junkies, and paper recyclers will love this shop.

One could certainly spend a lot of time in this shop, browsing the advertisements, book pages, wrapping paper, vintage playing cards, books and zines, vintage greeting cards, and so much more.  Affordable pricing and great selections make this shop a must see!

Check this shop out!

Name: Erica Limberg

Shop Name : The Baby Kitties

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota

SHOP LINK: http://www.thebabykitties.etsy.com/

I'm happy to welcome Erica to our group. Erica's a greenie vintage seller who believes in repurposing and selling vintage goodies, ephemera, collectibles and supplies. She loves dealing in vintage and keeping these items alive instead of landing unwanted in a landfill.

Erica loves to trade items with other sellers and has her store stocked full of affordable deals at all times. In June of 2009, I wrote an article about here in the Funky Junque Chronicles (Read it HERE) . At that time she had 790 sales. Just six months later, she has nearly doubled that. What's the secret Erica? I need to know!

I can only assume the forumla is

Good stuff + Great prices + Great customer service = Total Sweetness.

Here are some highlights from Erica's shop. This item she is selling as a tiny planter or toothpick holder. Just an example of Erica's love for repurposing things!

Lake Erie Beach Glass

ROYALTY Cobalt Blue Genuine Sea Glass Wire Sculpted Pendant by Lake Erie Beach Glass LEbg

Name: Jodie

Location: Erie, PA

When I asked Jodie how she got involved in her shop, this is what she had to say:

"I have always been drawn to the lake and often spend my time beachcombing the shores of Lake Erie. While beach combing my family and I began picking up trash that would accumulate and dispose of it. We then started picking up other unique items we would find and decided to recycle these items and give them new purpose through jewelry design and art. It has become a family business where everyone is involved. We live in Erie, Pennsylvania and comb the beaches from Cleveland to Buffalo. "

Jodie's shop is filled with lovely creations incorporating these wonderful finds. She is a proud member of the North American Sea Glass Association, of CAAT, and many Etsy teams! You can visit LakeErieBeachGlass on ETSY, or by clicking the following places
