These items have been up-cycled and turned into a works of WEARABLE ART!
Chelsie has been sewing as long as she can remember. She explains, "As a child I remember cutting out quilting blocks and sitting at my grandmothers treadle machine. It has been a hobby and a love of mine for quite a while."
Chelsie is a professional model *fan page here* who works for LX Magazine. She created her clothing line after having created her own fashions, and having so many people ask how or where they could purchase them. She explains, "I like to wear unique pieces that no one else has. As a model I could had a hard time finding clothing for photo shoots that was quite "out there" enough at a decent price or it wasn't exactly what I wanted. As a pageant competitor it was difficult to find a swimsuit that was as pretty as I wanted it to be. "
Her shop is full of great creations, from swimwear to jacket, bell bottom pants, to jewelry. Be sure to check it out, you never know what you will find here.

Buffalo Heart
Name: Lindsay
Location: Missoula, Montana
Shop : Buffalo Heart
Store Link: http://www.buffaloheart.etsy.com/
Here is how Lindsay describes her shop:
BuffaloHeart brings you handmade, altered, and vintage clothing from Montana.
BuffaloHeart: Where you carry your seeds.
Most of the materials I use were headed for the landfill before being rescued, and most of the other materials come from second-hand shops, garage sales, etc. I've been making art all my life, and now in addition to using my work to help pay for my living expenses through college, I use my art to encourage conscious capitalism in a society that has become largely ignorant of the irreparable impacts of its wastefulness.
It is important to me to learn to live with less, to recycle, up-cycle, and reuse, instead of buying something new, including supplies. To me, making recycled art is just one small thing I can do to contribute to the wellness of the world. Every day, another person realizes the importance of buying handmade. Doing so can help reduce the amount of sweatshop labor that produces so much of the Western world's wearables. And by buying goods made closer to you, you can be assured that your purchase will have a much smaller environmental impact via transportation.
