Vegan Shopping Store Cruelty Free Cosmetics and More

Shop Vegan
The cute turtle is the mascot of the Shop Vegan store.
Hey, check this out, a  Vegan Shopping Store ! I was looking though this site yesterday, and I love it. Everything they sell is suitable for vegans, and vegetarians. The products they carry and select do not involve animal testing and are free from animal ingredients.

Vegetarian
Vegan Vitamins for Kids.

Mr. Tumee vitamins are a big hit with kids and many varieties are offered.  In fact, you may find a wide variety of adult and children's supplements.

Vegan Chocolate
Dairy Free Chocolate: Perfect for the Vegan with a Sweet Tooth!

You can find products for your sweet tooth from dried fruit to dairy free chocolate in the Vegan Confectionary area. This is an entire shopping site, not just things to consume.

Vegan Beauty Products
Cruelty Free Beauty Products are a big hit!

In fact, I'm particularly in love with the bunch of cruelty-free cosmetics they stock and carry.  In fact their wide range of different lines involve NO TESTING on animals. You can find lipstick, eye makeup, and nail polish at affordable rates and in great colors.

Now some would worry that the Shop Vegan Store is a UK based store--but don't be.  There is a flat rate shipping option to the rest of the world, no matter how much you order. Case in point, no matter how much you order you pay flat rate shipping to the USA. By ordering a large quantity of items you will save over buying products from several different sources within the USA. The rest of the world has a flat rate shipping, too!

You will also find:

  • Pet Products
  • Products for Baby
  • Magazines
  • Accessories
  • and so much more!

What's better than that? Oh yeah, they are registered with the Vegan Society.

Chalkidiki and Green Vacations

Chalkidiki

When traveling for summer vacation, make sure to find a greener place to go.

Here are some tips:

  • Visit natural beaches, coasts, shorelines, or lakes.  If you are going internationally, make sure to check out less traveled places, gems like Chalkidiki in Greece, some of nature's prettiest waters!
  • Spend some time in the great outdoors, state parks, forests, trails or hike near a stream.  You would be surprised what a little fresh air will do.
  •  Find places that practice eco friendly recycling.  For instance, states like Maine charges a bottle deposit but you get it back when you cash in the can. Not only does this help the local economy or can-cashing places make money, but it keeps the state cleaner from cans and bottles floating around in lakes or streams or sitting on the side of the road.  Many international destinations are going greener.  Vacation Spots in Greece  have come a long way in their recycling, having been under fire back in the mid 2000's for not having proper recycling in place, Greece has made vast improvements in their recycling efforts.  Reward those who recycle by visiting them.
  • If you are in a place that doesn't recycle, write a letter and tell them why they should. It pays to go greener and tell them they can have their business listed in earth-friendly eco directories online if they practice greener practices.  Nothing like writing a letter to make a difference, but for the ultimate green impact, send it email!

LED lights : Get Eco Friendly LED IDEAS Go Greener

LED IDEAS has informed us on how to go greener by use of LED Lights. They  design led lights specific for commercial use, but also talk much of the Benefits of LED Lights.

They have shared these great facts about LED bulbs:

LEDs use at least 20% less energy than conventional bulbs, with the potential to save up to 90% off your energy bills in certain cases. Switch to LEDs and your investment will pay for itself far sooner than you’d expect.

Not only do LED bulbs run more efficiently, but they last far longer. With an LED lighting system in place, bulb changes are an infrequent occurrence.

LED lighting is safer than both filament and fluorescent bulbs. Because there is no mercury in LED bulbs, they can be easily disposed of at the end of their lifecycle and do not require specialist disposal methods.

But what about your business?

Businesses in both the private and public sectors are now obliged to reduce their carbon footprint, either under existing rules or as pre-compliance in anticipation of impending legislation. LED lighting is one area in which organizations can take clear steps to reduce energy bills. Public and private sector bodies are now obliged to evince that they are committed to making budgetary savings for the benefit of taxpayers or stakeholders. Continued reliance upon outdated technologies such as filament bulbs is a profligate policy that is impossible to justify in an era of ever-tightening budgets.

This is where LED IDEAS can help.  Their full range of  LED products in their online catalog include tube lights, panel lights, car park lights,  tunnel lights,  even lights for the tennis or squash court, you would be amazed!
